There are two general requirements to become eligible for a Humana Medicare Advantage plan. These enrollment requirements include:

There are generally four times throughout the year in which you may enroll in a Humana Medicare Advantage plan, depending on your personal situation and your Medicare eligibility.
Your Initial Enrollment Period (IEP) begins three months before you turn 65 years old and continues for three more months after turning 65. During this time, you may complete your Original Medicare enrollment, and you may be eligible to enroll in a Humana Medicare Advantage plan.
If you enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan during your IEP, you can switch to another Medicare Advantage plan within the first 3 months you have Medicare.

The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP) lasts from October 15 to December 7 each year.
During AEP, Medicare beneficiaries can apply to enroll in a Humana Medicare Advantage plan, switch from Original Medicare to a Medicare Advantage plan or switch from one Medicare Advantage plan to a different one.
During the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (OEP) – which lasts from January 1 to March 31 each year – Medicare Advantage plan beneficiaries may disenroll from their current Medicare Advantage plan and switch to a different Medicare Advantage plan.
During this period, you may also elect to return to Original Medicare.
