They offer you several good options in the form of a savings account, if want to apply online you have two options the Insta Savings Account and the Digital Savings Account. You can choose any one of them. The option to open an account online gives you a hassle-free and paperless banking experience without visiting the bank branch. In this prevailing Covid-19 situation, you can open a savings account at the comfort of their homes.

Here is how to open SBI savings account online:

• Visit the official website of the State Bank of India (SBI).
• Now click on ‘Apply Now’ that appears on the main screen.
• It will redirect you to SBI Yono Online Portal.
• On SBI Yono online portal, select between Digital Savings Account and Instant Savings Account.
• After selecting an account of the two, click on apply. Your Aadhaar and PAN card will be required.
• Then fill in your details and click on ’Submit.

Note: In the case of a Digital Savings Account, you have to visit the branch once.

In the case of Insta Savings Account, no branch visit is required and your account is verified using OTP-based e-KYC.
